La diversité culturelle en formation à l’enseignement : analyse de la situation en Suisse romande

Abstract
Lacunaire, facultative, peu développée… nombreux sont les qualificatifs utilisés pour décrire la formation des enseignants en matière de prise en compte de la diversité culturelle au sein de la recherche internationale. En écho à ces constats, notre étude propose un état des lieux des formations d’enseignants dans ce domaine en Suisse romande. En soumettant un questionnaire aux formateurs responsables des questions de diversité culturelle, nous avons eu accès à leur perception de cette formation, aux contenus de leurs enseignements, mais aussi à leur perspective quant à la mobilisation des identités culturelles des étudiants. Nos données, majoritairement qualitatives, ont été analysées dans une logique d’analyse de contenu et ont été mises en perspective à l’aide de la typologie des approches de l’éducation multiculturelle de Sleeter et Grant.
