A 53-year-old African American male patient was admitted to the hospital with a 2-month history of daily spiking fevers (101-102.8 °F), abdominal pain, weight loss (> 20 lbs), and arthralgias. Physical examination revealed a tender abdomen, with dermal scarring and dystrophic calcifications over the chest without sclerodactyly.
