Abstract
Öz: Alâeddin Keykubad ve Abbâsî Hilafeti arasındaki ilişkiler, karşılıklı saygı ve işbirliği temelinde şekillenmiştir. Halife Nasır Lidinillah, Alâeddin Keykubad’ın tahta geçişini onaylamak için Şeyh Sühreverdi’yi Konya’ya göndererek, padişah menşuru ve hil’at ile birlikte Sultan’a manevi destek sunmuştur. Keykubad, Şeyh Sühreverdi’yi büyük bir özenle karşılamış ve Abbâsî hilafetinin manevi değerlerine olan saygısını göstermiştir. Bu süreçte, Keykubad’ın hükümet tarzı, adaletli ve insaflı bir yönetim anlayışına dayalıdır. Halife Nasır’ın ölümünün ardından, Alâeddin Keykubad’ın yönetimindeki Selçuklu Devleti, Moğol tehdidine karşı büyük bir savunma hazırlığı yapmıştır. Halife Nasır, Moğolların ilerlemesi karşısında Keykubad’dan askeri destek istemiş ve Sultan, barışçıl bir çözüm önererek Halife’nin talep ettiği askerî yardımı sağlamıştır. Ayrıca, Abbâsî Hilafeti ile ilişkileri, Alâeddin Keykubad’ın Halife el-Muntansır döneminde de devam etmiştir. Halife, Keykubad’a “Sultan-ı A’zam” gibi unvanlar vererek onu onurlandırmıştır. Keykubad, Halife’nin desteğiyle başarılı bir dış politika izlemiş, ancak 1237’deki ölümünden sonra Abbâsî Hilafeti ile ilişkiler sonlanmıştır. Makalede, Alâeddin Keykubad ile Abbâsî Hilafeti arasındaki ilişkilerin incelenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Bu ilişkilerin, karşılıklı saygı ve işbirliği temelinde şekillendiği, Keykubad’ın yönetim tarzı ve Abbâsî Hilafeti ile olan güçlü bağlarının Selçuklu Devleti’nin dış politikasındaki rolü ele alınmaktadır. Ayrıca, Halife Nasır ve Keykubad’ın birbirlerine verdikleri desteğin, siyasi ve dini açıdan nasıl bir denge oluşturduğu vurgulanmaktadır.
