Abstract. Relevance of the research topic. The epidemic of cardiovascular disease (CVD) associated with modifiable risk factors remains a major social and economic burden. There is a need to develop a rational lifestyle for women in the second period of adulthood. The tendency to reduce physical activity in combination with overweight emphasises the need for a global initiative to develop correctional and rehabilitation programmes. The purpose of the article is to determine the impact of the correctional and rehabilitation programme on the morphological and functional indicators and parameters of the cardiovascular system of women in the second period of adulthood. Research methods: questionnaire; determination of body mass index; calculation of the reaction quality index (RQI) based on the results of the Martinez-Kushelevsky test. The results of the study showed that only 15% of women scored ‘good’ on the Subjective Assessment of Lifestyle and Somatic Health test. The Women's Health School held discussions about the need to change their lifestyle; taught them how to perform breathing and relaxation exercises; in a group class 3 times a week, women learned Schultz exercises; in the rehabilitation centre, they performed a special set of gymnastic exercises, a set of McGill exercises, and Flossing; they did training walking three times a week; and a Calorie Calculator app was installed. The dynamics of body weight of women aged 36-40 years statistically significantly decreased (t=3.14; p>0.05) and, accordingly, BMI had a significant decrease (t=2.07; p>0.05). at the beginning of the transformational experiment, according to the results of the PYR, 50% of women had a decrease in physical activity tolerance and signs of deterioration in the functional state of the cardiovascular system. After 3 months of work under the developed programme, the normal value of the PYR index was observed in 75% of women. Conclusions. In women of the second period of mature age, such indicators as body weight, body mass index, and physical activity tolerance go beyond the normal value. This, in turn, affects the deterioration of the functional state of the cardiovascular system.
