Abstract
Perkembangan wilayah perkotaan di Kabupaten Bulukumba menunjukkan kecenderungan ekspansi spasial menuju kawasan peri-urban, yang secara historis ditandai oleh kemunculan kutub-kutub pertumbuhan baru. Fenomena ini mencerminkan proses urbanisasi dan memunculkan dinamika sosial yang kompleks melalui migrasi penduduk dari wilayah perdesaan maupun perkotaan. Migrasi ini didorong oleh pencarian peluang ekonomi, keterjangkauan perumahan, serta pergeseran preferensi gaya hidup yang semakin berorientasi urban. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh kutub pertumbuhan terhadap perubahan morfologi wilayah, serta mengeksplorasi peran gentrifikasi dalam membentuk pola interaksi sosial-ekonomi. Pendekatan yang digunakan bersifat kuantitatif dengan analisis spasial, uji korelasi, serta pendekatan grounded theory untuk memahami fenomena secara holistik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa faktor fisik dan non-fisik dipengaruhi oleh pola pertumbuhan yang terfragmentasi, dengan konsentrasi pada potensi ekonomi dan aksesibilitas tinggi. Pembentukan kutub pertumbuhan merupakan konsekuensi dari ekspansi spasial kota secara leapfrogging centrifugal, di mana perkembangan di pusat kota mendorong munculnya kantong-kantong pembangunan baru di kawasan peri-urban. Kawasan ini berfungsi sebagai ruang transisi yang menawarkan peluang ekonomi dengan biaya hidup yang lebih rendah, sehingga menarik bagi migran urban yang terdorong oleh tekanan sosial-ekonomi. Gentrifikasi tidak hanya menjadi proses revitalisasi fisik, tetapi juga bertindak sebagai mekanisme seleksi sosial-ekonomi yang merekonstruksi identitas dan nilai kultural dalam ruang yang semakin terindustrialisasi.
