Abstract
La depresión mayor resistente al tratamiento (DMRT) representa un desafío significativo en psiquiatría, dada la limitada respuesta a las terapias convencionales. La ketamina endovenosa (EV) a dosis subanestésicas ha emergido como una opción terapéutica efectiva, con efectos rápidos sobre los síntomas depresivos y suicidas. En este artículo, se presenta el protocolo de infusión de ketamina aplicado en un hospital general de agudos de la Ciudad Autónoma de Buenos Aires, basado en guías internacionales. A continuación, se detallan los criterios de inclusión y exclusión, la dosificación, el procedimiento de administración y el monitoreo de los pacientes. Además, se discuten los efectos adversos y consideraciones de seguridad. La implementación de este protocolo permite optimizar el uso de ketamina en la DMRT, garantizando su eficacia y seguridad.
