Abstract
We commend Ufodiama et al. for highlighting the disproportionate burden of acne vulgaris and its sequelae among patients with darker skin types. This timely article underscores the critical need for tailored clinical approaches and educational reform within UK dermatology. Only by addressing these disparities can we begin to dismantle health inequalities and ensure the dissemination of educational resources reflective of skin phenotype. This commentary builds upon this discussion.
