Abstract
We examine the restriction of tensor products of representations of the group PGL(2,R) to its diagonal subgroup. This involves studying symmetry breaking operators, their holomorphic properties, and functional identities. By restricting to the dense open, we simplify the problem to understanding the Plancherel formula for line-bundles over the corresponding homogeneous space. By means of analytic continuation we provide direct integral decompositions for the restriction of tensor products of unitary irreducible representations of PGL(2,R).<br/><br/>Additionally, we explore invariant sesquilinear forms on discrete series representations of the group SO(4,1) and describe these representations in the Fourier transformed picture.
