Litteraturgennemgangen resulterede i 14 relevante videnskabelige artikler, der hver undersøger indsatser, der kan relateres til Tidlig Indsats, heraf litteratur fra henholdsvis Canada, USA, Storbritannien, Tyskland, Australien og Danmark. Disse viser specifikke interventionsdesign og metoder, der alle har det fælles formål at forebygge mistrivsel, fremme børns udvikling og understøtte barnets og amiliens mentale sundhed.<br/>Indsatserne på tværs af programmerne inkluderer forældreundervisning, perinatal pleje, hjemmebesøg, studievejledning, mentorer og støttegrupper. Derudover arbejdes der også med at gøre ydelserne lettere tilgængelige ved hjælp af identificering af sociale determinanter. Der ses en varierende grad af tværfagligt eller tværsektorielt samarbejde på tværs af studierne. Der beskrives primært et samarbejde mellem og på tværs af sundheds- og socialsektoren, men i nogle programmer involveres også uddannelsessektoren og retlige instanser, alt efter hvilken målgruppe der arbejdes med. Studierne beskriver overordnet positive effekter ved indsatser, der inkluderer hjemmebesøg, undervisning, vejledning og støtte til forældrene og tværsektorielle indsatser.<br/>Litteraturen beskæftiger sig hovedsagelig med afgrænsede og specifikke interventionsprojekter og kan ikke sammenlignes direkte med en landsdækkende indsats som Tidlig Indsats, der består af en bred vifte af tilbud, og som leveres med stor variation fra sted til sted. Litteraturen giver dog inspiration til udformningen af indsatser samt erfaringer med tværsektorielt samarbejde og undersøgelsesmetoder.
