Abstract
The starting point for the paper is the apparent contrast between Denmark's general active role in international legal cooperation, and her reluctant role in international legal cooperation when it comes to norms at the work place.International co-operation is consistently evident through accurate and timely implementation of EU-directives, 1 the country's willing participation in international humanitarian causes, 2 and participation in leading international cooperative fora.3 Yet the government is often the target of criticism for failing to provide substantive workplace protections closer to home.This is true for provisions originating from the EU, 4 as well as for provisions originating from international obligations.5 1 E.g.Denmark ranks among the best in the EU Internal Market Scoreboard edition 07/2014, surveying Member States biannually across a number of implementation factors, http
