Abstract
La evaluación de los sistemas universitarios y de investigación es un instrumento esencial para lograr el mejoramiento y obtener nuevas oportunidades a nivel de recursos humanos y tecnológicos. En este capítulo se inicia con la introducción, haciendo énfasis en el sistema educativo italiano, el cual considera tres etapas de educación: primaria, secundaria de primer y segundo grado y superior. Se evidencian diferencias con el contexto colombiano en cuanto a la preparación y el tiempo que una persona permanece en todo el sistema educativo, haciendo énfasis en la educación superior. Después, se presentan los entes reguladores de la evaluación y acreditación en el sistema universitario y de investigación en Italia y el sistema implementado, en donde la Agencia Nacional de Evaluación del Sistema Universitario y de Investigación [ANVUR] se encarga de los procesos, siempre supervisada por el Ministerio de Educación, Universidad e Investigación [MIUR]. Luego, se evidencia que el proceso de acreditación en Italia consta de tres fases principales: análisis de los documentos pertinentes para la acreditación, la visita in situ y la redacción de los informes preliminares y final, por parte de la Comisión de Expertos para la Evaluación [CEV], obteniendo finalmente el resultado del proceso de evaluación.
