Abstract
Dans son roman Ourse bleue, l’autrice Virginia Pesemapeo Bordeleau nous convie à un voyage dans le territoire traditionnel Eeyou Istchee peuplé d’art et de produits des métiers d’art. Dans son livre d’artiste Ourse bleue – Piciskanâw mask iskwew, la peintre Virginia Pesemapeo Bordeleau revient en images, mais aussi en prose et en poésie, sur quarante années d’une pratique artistique enracinée dans le territoire. Cet article s’attarde d’abord aux marqueurs de création artistique balisant le parcours du personnage du roman et au discours sur l’art qui se construit ainsi. Le roman est ensuite mis en dialogue avec le livre d’art afin de montrer comment les pratiques interpénétrantes de l’écriture et de la « couleur » chez Pesemapeo Bordeleau s’inscrivent dans un discours continu de l’artiste et écrivaine sur l’identité crie et l’espace autochtone, qui propose ainsi une vision intégrée du monde.
