Abstract
La présente communication porte sur les potentialités mathématiques d’élèves identifiés en difficulté dans la résolution d’une situation-recherche « pavage de carrés » (Grenier et Payan, 2003) expérimentée avec des élèves du début du secondaire (12-13 ans) dans le contexte du Québec. Le concept de potentialités mathématiques est abordé à partir des écrits de quelques chercheurs en éducation (Radford, 2011 ; Mary et Squalli, 2021, Mary et al., 2011). Le Teaching Experiment sert de cadre méthodologique. Une grille d’analyse des résultats est proposée suivie d’une discussion des résultats.
