Abstract
Au Québec, le contexte social et médiatique tendu autour de l’immigration soulève des préoccupations quant à un besoin de compréhension, de respect et de cohésion entre les valeurs culturelles des personnes issues de diverses catégories d’immigration, dont des personnes réfugiées et celles des Québécois natifs. Cet article révèle comment à travers le modèle interculturel coopératif d’accompagnement mutuel (MICAM), une convergence des valeurs s’exprime, se développe et se construit collectivement entre 20 Québécoises natives et personnes immigrantes. Les ateliers MICAM auxquels elles ont participé ont été un outil privilégié pour créer une dynamique de groupe respectueuse permettant un rapprochement interculturel et une reconnaissance mutuelle.
