Abstract
Extract We thank L. Menon and co-workers for their insightful comments on our article “Phenotyping the responses to systemic corticosteroids in the management of asthma attacks (PRISMA)” [1]. They raise pertinent points regarding the practicality of biomarker testing during asthma exacerbations, the potential sufficiency of blood eosinophil count (BEC) alone to guide corticosteroid therapy, and the observation of sex-related differences in type 2 inflammatory biomarker profiles.
