Abstract
Este trabajo se centra en presentar una primera aproximación al proceso de lexicalización de una nadita (‘muy poco’) en las variedades americanas, entendido como mecanismo de producción de expresiones. Para ello, se describe cómo se produce su combinación y cuándo se convencionaliza, siguiendo el proceso descrito en la literatura previa. En cuanto a su distribución geográfica, la documentación presentada muestra que estamos ante una forma general en las variedades del español de América. Después se lleva a cabo una descripción gramatical de esta forma, que permite completar la caracterización de los trabajos que ya disponemos. Con todo, la revisión de este uso ofrece un ejemplo más para comprender que la variación depende del léxico, y que hay repertorios léxicos distintos. La variación, por tanto, se reduciría a diferencias en el conjunto de las características de los elementos léxicos concretos.
