Abstract
L’article se penche sur les formes populaires de rejet du système clientéliste entourant le parti du président Blaise Compaoré, telles que mises de l’avant dans le cadre de la crise politique de 2014 au Burkina Faso. Les citoyens burkinabè sont descendus en masse dans la rue pour contester la volonté de l’appareil politique burkinabè d’amender la constitution, alors qu’ils ne l’avaient relativement pas remis en question précédemment. L’article montre que la remise en question de la légitimité clientéliste du système, source de son enracinement au cours des années précédentes, a été au cœur des motivations et formes de contestations citoyennes en 2014. Les événements de 2014, et surtout la participation citoyenne massive lors des manifestations du 29 et 30 octobre 2014, traduisent ainsi un rejet tant idéel que pratique du système, ayant fini par manquer de “justifiabilité” quant aux valeurs et attentes des citoyens.
