Abstract
Continuous-wave Yb:KGW laser with broadly tunable wavelength is reported. The laser was pumped by a compact Nd:YAG laser operating at 946 nm. Wavelength selection was done using an intracavity SF10 prism. Wavelength tunability range was found to be up to 106 nm. The maximum output power was >2.5 W at 1044 nm. In addition, the laser was also tested in a frequency-doubled configuration to produce tunable blue-green radiation.
