Abstract

fetched live from OpenAlex

Gastrodiscoidiasis is among the neglected, underreported, and difficult-to-diagnose intestinal diseases. Human infection occurs through the ingestion of raw or undercooked fish or vegetables contaminated with the metacercaria of the helminth. In this study, we analyzed the clinical and epidemiological profile of Gastrodiscoidiasis and identified the main diagnostic methods used in documented cases of the disease. The reviewed cases revealed that the recognition of the infection is hindered by nonspecific clinical manifestations, especially in cases of coinfection with other helminthiases. Most reports of the disease come from India; however, the pathogen has also been described in the United States, Canada, Indonesia, Ghana, and the Philippines, though without reports of clinical disease. The main drugs used in treatment are praziquantel and mebendazole. Gastrodiscoidiasis should be considered as a differential diagnosis in patients with gastrointestinal symptoms and a history of dietary exposure in endemic areas, including travelers. Greater efforts are needed to strengthen the clinical and epidemiological investigation of this disease.

Fetched live from OpenAlex and de-inverted. Abstracts are not stored in this database: the inverted indexes are 8.6 GB of the frame’s 9.3 GB of text, and the host has 13 GB free.

Not calibrated prevalence, not ground truth. Human validation pending. Learned from the 10,348 direct Codex labels and 10,348 direct Gemma labels. Candidate is the union of thresholded teacher heads; consensus is their intersection. These outputs are machine_predicted_unvalidated and are not human labels or direct frontier model labels.

Machine scores (provisional)

The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.

Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
