Abstract

fetched live from OpenAlex

ABSTRACT One effective non-pharmacological method to treat osteoarthritis (OA) is muscle strengthening exercises. Estrogen deficiency causes pain, stiffness, and reduced joint function, which are symptoms of this degenerative joint disease commonly experienced by menopausal women. This study aims to determine how muscle strengthening exercises help menopausal women with osteoarthritis at Daycare Lansia Aisyiyah Banten reduce pain and improve their joint function. This quasi-experimental study used a pre-test and post-test design without a control group. The sample included 26 women with OA complaints. The intervention involved several weeks of exercises to improve muscle strength. The WOMAC questionnaire was used for evaluation before and after the intervention. The results showed a significant reduction in pain levels after the intervention. Before the exercises, 57% of respondents experienced moderate to severe pain. After the intervention, 84.6% of respondents reported reduced pain, and 7.6% no longer felt any pain. Muscle strengthening exercises have been proven to reduce osteoarthritis pain in menopausal women and potentially improve their quality of life in old age. This intervention is feasible to be widely implemented in elderly care service facilities. Keywords: Osteoarthritis, Menopause, Joint Pain, Elderly, WOMAC.

Not calibrated prevalence, not ground truth. Human validation pending. The Gemma side is a direct model label for every work in the frame, read from the title-only record. The Codex side is a classifier learned from the 10,348 direct Codex labels and calibrated to design-weighted sample rates; fields without enough sample support carry no Codex call. Candidate is the union of the two sides; consensus is their intersection. These outputs are machine_predicted_unvalidated and are not human labels.

Machine scores (provisional)

The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.

Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
