Abstract In Quebec, highly retrogressive landslides are one of the main threats to human safety, due to the preponderance of sensitive marine clay deposits where the population is concentrated. A program of preventive work against this hazard was therefore put in place, involving a partnership between the government and the municipalities concerned. The objectives of this presentation are to draw up an inventory and assessment of the work carried out over the last 20 years in Quebec, and to describe the various constraints that had to be addressed.
