Abstract
Les urgences sont des lieux où se croisent soins, incertitude et anxiété pour les personnes soignées. Pour certaines, cette expérience peut être particulièrement éprouvante. Et si une approche alternative pouvait offrir un peu de réconfort au sein même de cet environnement ? C’est la réflexion qui a mené l’hôpital Brome-Missisquoi-Perkins à mettre en place un service de zoothérapie dans son urgence. Nous avons eu l’opportunité de nous entretenir avec Madame Joanie Larouche, infirmière clinicienne en gériatrie à l’urgence, pour en savoir davantage sur cette initiative innovante.
