Abstract
Cet article explore la démarche de Knud Viktor, artiste danois installé dans le sud de la France au début des années 1960. Sur le mode de l’enquête et en s’appuyant sur les archives de l’artiste, cette contribution dessine un double portrait : celui d’un « peintre sonore » et celui du territoire qui l’aura tant fasciné, entre montagnes du Petit Luberon et Durance. En la comparant à celle de « paysage sonore », l’autrice propose en outre de mesurer la pertinence de la notion de « portrait sonore de pays » à l’aune de l’oeuvre de Knud Viktor.
