Abstract
À travers l’analyse du Musée de l’Homme à Paris, cet article interroge les transformations contemporaines des institutions muséales face aux attentes sociales et scientifiques. Héritier du Musée d’Ethnographie du Trocadéro, le Musée de l’Homme a connu d’importantes mutations depuis sa refondation en 2015. Redéfini comme un musée de sciences humaines, il s’organise autour de trois grandes questions : l’identité, les origines et l’avenir de l’humanité. L’institution met en œuvre une muséographie participative, intégrant des dispositifs de médiation innovants, une écoute active de ses publics et une politique d’expositions engagées. Grâce à des partenariats avec des chercheurs, des artistes et des associations, l’institution développe une approche réflexive du passé colonial, attentive aux enjeux contemporains (racisme, environnement, diversité). L’article souligne ainsi l’émergence d’un modèle muséal plus inclusif et citoyen, dans la lignée de la muséologie critique.
