Abstract
Resumo Decolonizar nossas mentes e corpos é um processo lento e árduo. O paradigma ocidental, centrado na Europa e América do Norte, insiste em apresentar como universal e superior, relegando o resto do mundo à uma condição subalterna e periférica. Em resposta, universidades e movimentos sociais do Sul Global têm buscado decolonizar a produção de conhecimento, valorizando saberes alternativos comumente invisibilizados. Nesse contexto, o conceito de tecnologia social emerge como uma lente teórica e prática com raízes nas tradições culturais locais e nos movimentos de economia solidária, propondo iniciativas que têm sido fundamentais para enfrentar crises econômicas e sociais, especialmente entre populações vulneráveis. O conceito de tecnologia social, embora represente um campo em disputa, se refere a artefatos físicos, metodologias e formas de organizar. Pouco conhecida na academia latino-americana e praticamente invisível internacionalmente, essa abordagem merece maior destaque. Este volume temático visa fortalecer esse campo, reunindo artigos críticos, teóricos e práticos comprometidos com tecnologia social e transformação social.
