O presente investiga o funcionamento do neoliberalismo em discursos sobre saúde mental no livro didático de Língua Inglesa do Novo Ensino Médio. Este trabalho caracteriza-se como uma pesquisa descritiva-interpretativa e documental de abordagem qualitativa. Teoricamente, nos embasamos em Foucault (1996, 2008a, 2008b); Han (2015); Illouz e Allaluf (2020); Dunker, Silva Júnior e Safatle (2020) e Dardot e Laval (2016). As análises revelam o funcionamento de princípios ligados à racionalidade neoliberal, operando a fim de desenvolver habilidades socioemocionais com vistas ao equilíbrio para a contínua produtividade e eficiência dos corpos.
