Abstract

Au-delà des frontières géographiques, la multiplicité des découpages territoriaux peut engendrer des défis complexes. Elle complique la coordination des activités, la mobilisation des partenaires et la prise de décision, tout en limitant les possibilités d’action. La disponibilité des données est très variable selon les découpages, et la mise en parallèle de données issues de découpages différents est hasardeuse, entravant ainsi une compréhension globale des territoires. Dans le cadre du projet Regard 360, qui vise à outiller les acteurs œuvrant au sein des territoires québécois pour leur permettre de mieux en comprendre les caractéristiques et, ainsi, d’y intervenir de manière plus efficace, l’équipe de recherche a pu mesurer l’ampleur de la situation liée à ces différents découpages. Deux cas concrets seront présentés pour illustrer cette problématique et pour démontrer les défis qu’elle entraîne.
