Cet article montre comment l’entrepreneuriat peut favoriser l’intégration socioprofessionnelle des femmes immigrantes tout en contournant certaines formes de discrimination présentes sur le marché de l’emploi québécois. La discrimination systémique, encore d’actualité au Québec et au Canada, contribue à l’hyperprécarité des femmes issues des minorités visibles, qui subissent une double discrimination liée à leur origine ethnoculturelle et à leur genre. Cela se manifeste par des taux plus élevés de chômage, de déqualification et de faibles revenus, nuisant à leur inclusion et au développement local. L’entrepreneuriat devient alors une voie stratégique pour se réaliser professionnellement et s’insérer socialement. Pour appuyer cette analyse, l’article propose d’abord un état des lieux de la discrimination en emploi, puis présente trois ressources actives au Québec qui soutiennent l’entrepreneuriat féminin (le Réseau MicroEntreprendre, Entreprendre ici et le Réseau des femmes d’affaires du Québec), avant de conclure sur les répercussions des entrepreneures sur le développement local.
