Abstract

fetched live from OpenAlex

Abstract. Urban areas face difficulties in fulfilling food needs independently due to the increasing rate of land-use conversion. This issue also affects regions that supply food to Bandung City, where the conversion of agricultural land threatens future food security. As a response, urban farming is seen as a strategic solution to help meet Bandung’s food demands. This study aims to assess the readiness of the Arcamanik District community to implement urban farming using the Community Readiness Model (CRM) with a quantitative approach. Data were collected through questionnaires distributed to all neighborhood unit (RW) heads. The responses were analyzed using a scoring system to evaluate aspects such as efforts, knowledge, leadership, community conditions, awareness of urban farming issues, and available resources. The analysis shows that the community’s readiness is at the “initiation” stage, with an average score of 3.5. This indicates that early efforts and programs related to urban farming have been introduced, and the community generally shows no resistance. Awareness of its importance is emerging, but deep understanding and active participation remain limited. Technical skills and knowledge of urban farming management are also low. While leadership support is adequate, the availability of resources and material motivation still needs improvement.

Machine scores (provisional)

The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.

Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
