Abstract

Abstract. Access to clean water is a vital basic need for communities, especially in areas that still uphold traditional values. The traditional village of Kuta in Ciamis Regency is an example of a traditional community that continues to manage clean water independently based on local wisdom. This study aims to explore the forms of traditional community governance in clean water management in the traditional village of Kuta. The research was conducted using a descriptive qualitative approach through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. Data analysis was conducted thematically to identify the principles of management based on traditional values. The results of the study show that clean water management is carried out through open deliberation, social accountability, and active community participation. The efficient use and conservation of water resources are carried out through practices that have been instilled from generation to generation in customary norms. These findings show that the local wisdom-based governance system is not only adaptive and contextual but also has the potential for long-term sustainability. Responsive policy support for local values is needed so that this system can continue to be developed and replicated.

Machine scores (provisional)

The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.

Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
