Abstract
Dans ce dialogue entre le cinéaste Henri-François Imbert et Diane Poitras, le documentariste porte un regard réflexif sur sa pratique de création telle qu’elle s’est progressivement élaborée au cours des années. Il y est notamment question des thématiques récurrentes, mais aussi de sa manière toute personnelle de transformer sa recherche en matériau filmique et d’aborder l’Autre en l’invitant à définir sa propre place en tant que personnage dans le film. Enfin, une part de l’entretien porte sur les conséquences que le fait de tourner seul entraîne sur la structure de production mise au point au fil du temps, en cohérence avec ses partis-pris esthétiques et une posture éthique.
