Abstract
RESUMEN Objetivo: Comprender la percepción y el conocimiento de los adultos universitarios emergentes sobre las consecuencias del consumo excesivo de bebidas alcohólicas para la salud biopsicosocial y el bienestar actual y futuro de las personas. Método: Se trata de un estudio exploratorio, descriptivo y de enfoque cualitativo, realizado con 31 estudiantes universitarios. Se difundió en línea un formulario con código QR para informar sobre la investigación. La recolección de datos se llevó a cabo mediante entrevistas semiestructuradas. Los datos se transcribieron con el software Turbo Scribe y los discursos se analizaron con la ayuda del software Atlas.ti, utilizando la técnica de análisis de contenido. Resultados: Existe una laguna en el conocimiento de los participantes sobre qué es el consumo excesivo de bebidas alcohólicas y sus repercusiones para la salud. Se concluye que es fundamental promover campañas continuas de concienciación y educación en salud, con el fin de ampliar el conocimiento y favorecer decisiones conscientes sobre el consumo de alcohol.
