Abstract
The 2030 Sustainable Development Goals Agenda is an innovative and ambitious development blueprint that intends to achieve economic, political, environmental, and social advancements around the world. The design of the 17 goals, as well as their targets and indicators, reflects a belief in the universality of the liberal economic and political order and maintains the current development orthodoxy. Overall, the Agenda maintains the current power imbalances between the Global North and the Global South, between economic growth and the protection of the environment, as well as between big corporations, especially those that hail from the Global North, and people/populations.
