Abstract
Este artículo examina la circulación de ideas literarias que habilita el modo gótico en La pista de hielo, pero atendiendo al conjunto de la producción de Roberto Bolaño. Propone una reflexión crítica sobre los conceptos de “gótico latinoamericano” y globalgothic, y su intrincada relación con la dinámica poscolonial de tropicalización a partir del corpus seleccionado. De igual modo, sostengo que la novela lleva a cabo una desjerarquización afín a la cultura popular: al privilegiar territorios doblemente marginados, tanto en términos sociales como dentro de los estudios literarios, interpela desde esos márgenes las polémicas consagradas por los studia humanitatis. Esto contribuye al tono cómico, especialmente perceptible entre los escenarios convencionales del terror. Metodológicamente, alterno entre el análisis interno y externo del texto para examinar la configuración de los espacios-tiempos góticos en ambos niveles.
