Abstract
L’article détaille la trajectoire des enfants innus d’Uashat mak Mani-utenam (Québec) qui ont vécu un épisode de prise en charge par la protection de la jeunesse entre 2009 et 2016, où ils ont fait l’expérience d’un placement (30 jours ou plus). Un devis quantitatif est utilisé pour décrire les caractéristiques des enfants (n=331), les types de milieux substituts et la stabilité des parcours. Les résultats d’analyses inférentielles montrent que les enfants placés auprès d’une personne significative vivent des épisodes de placement plus courts, moins de milieux de vie différents et sont moins souvent déplacés que ceux ayant été placés en milieux non autochtones.
