Abstract
El artículo aborda los procesos de construcción de conocimiento y las desigualdades epistemológicas y políticas generadas alrededor de las migraciones. Cuestiona las narrativas hegemónicas que construyen una historia única y simplifican las experiencias migratorias, reforzando desigualdades sociales, epistemológicas y ontológicas. Explora el papel que pueden jugar la academia y sus instituciones en la descolonización del conocimiento y, específicamente, el rol del trabajo social como promotor de una conciencia crítica sobre el racismo y la discriminación. Para ello compartimos algunas reflexiones surgidas a partir de los espacios colaborativos con diferentes entidades y asociaciones en el marco del colectivo Saberes Migrantes (Barcelona, España) que nos llevan a pensar acerca del papel de la academia en los procesos de descolonización del conocimiento.
