Abstract
Dans Briser la glace et Paradis (avant liquidation), des récits de voyage marqués par la prise de conscience de la crise environnementale, le journaliste Julien Blanc-Gras raconte son voyage au Groenland et à Kiribati. Ces territoires situés aux antipodes l’un de l’autre sont liés par un sort commun, puisqu’ils sont tous deux menacés, l’un par la fonte des glaces et l’autre par la montée des eaux. Sous l’apparence d’un observateur faussement ingénu, l’auteur analyse avec un humour décapant les nombreux paradoxes de la crise écologique. Il n’est pas non plus insensible au caractère futile de ses propres déplacements qui posent un problème éthique, tout en étant conscient de la nécessité de témoigner d’une situation alarmante.
