Abstract
The study focuses on investigating discourses in cinematic narratives featuring female protagonist characters (or those sharing protagonism) who undergo a transformation process after their first sexual experiences. The corpus comprises three musicals: The Rocky Horror Picture Show (United Kingdom, 1975), Grease (United States, 1978), and Cry-Baby (United States, 1990), as well as three horror films: Ginger Snaps (Canada, 2000), Teeth (United States, 2007), and Raw (France, 2016).The objective is to discuss why these cinematic genres tend to favor certain forms of representation, how excess is articulated within them, and how the films in the corpus can subvert and play with such generic conventions, at times approaching a camp sensibility. The concept of performance is utilized, as well as gender performativity (such as the feminine gender), and a dialogue is proposed between the both and the musical genre and musical films within the corpus.Similarly, the horror genre and its analyzed films are related to the concept of potency, developed based on Aristotle and Nietzsche. The study ultimately proposes to complicate the created duality (musical-performance and horror-potency) to enable articulations between performance in horror and potency in musicals through the observation and analysis of the films.
Fetched live from OpenAlex and de-inverted. Abstracts are not stored in this database: the inverted indexes are 8.6 GB of the frame’s 9.3 GB of text, and the host has 13 GB free.

Teacher imitationNot calibrated prevalence, not ground truth. Human validation pending. Learned from the 10,348 direct Codex labels and 10,348 direct Gemma labels. Candidate is the union of thresholded teacher heads; consensus is their intersection. These outputs are machine_predicted_unvalidated and are not human labels or direct frontier model labels.

Machine scores (provisional)
The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.
Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
score_only:v0-immature-baseline · verbatim from the scoring run: score_only means the number may rank works, and no category label ships from itClassification
machine, unvalidatedMachine predicted; both teacher heads agree on what is shown here.
