Abstract
The neoliberal education climate is a derivative of, and further implicating, the contemporary global polycrisis, while adversely impacting the socio-emotional learning (SEL) integrity for children and youth. Finding entrypoints to un ∼ redo neoliberal politics and ethics in education, in this article, we—three women ∼ feminist ∼ teacher ∼ academics who immigrated to Canada from Mexico, India, and Australia—challenge the neoliberal constructs of SEL through feminist new materialist approaches of artivism, thinking/doing-with the provocation “staying with the trouble” in a collective zine making process. Zines, as artifacts, methods, pedagogy, and living knowledge worked to interrupt the status-quo of neoliberal education, fostering a pedagogy of vulnerability for socio ∼ emotional ∼ ethical learning in the polycrisis.
