Abstract
Le personnage de série est la désignation privilégiée et le point d’intéressement des amateurs, amatrices, spectateurs et spectatrices de séries télévisées. Dans le cadre d’une enquête par questionnaire réalisée en 2022 auprès d’un panel représentatif de Français·es adultes, une question a été posée pour savoir quels personnages avaient compté pour les enquête·é·s; avec la possibilité d’expliquer pourquoi ce ou ces personnage(s) les avaient marqué·e·s. Un·e spectateur ou spectatrice sur deux répond positivement à la première interrogation. L’article propose, d’une part, une restitution des personnages de séries cités et de leurs caractéristiques et, d’autre part, un codage des raisons qui ont été données de la trace laissée par ceux-ci. Trois dimensions - ce qu’il est, ce qu’il me fait et ce qu’il représente -, ressortent et configurent ainsi le personnage sériel contemporain comme à la fois proche et autonome, attachant et inspirant, concernant et résilient.
