Cet article décrit la théorie de la fin de vie paisible (TFVP). La TFVP a été développée par Cornelia Ruland et Shirley Moore en 1998. Cette théorie est un modèle qui guide la pratique infirmière des soins palliatifs. La TFVP met l’accent sur l’importance de la qualité de vie en fin de vie, tout en cherchant à réduire la souffrance, et à promouvoir une mort dans la dignité et la paix. La TFVP est basée sur une approche holistique et personnalisée des soins, prenant en compte les dimensions physique, psychologique, sociale et spirituelle de la personne en fin de vie.
