Abstract
The chapter presents the processes of implementating digital innovations in the activities of the Polish media in the first quarter of the 21st century. It has two aims: to discuss specific manifestations of this phenomenon, divided into three main categories (innovations in content creation, content distribution and business models), and to analyse the sources of individual innovations and the dynamics of their implementation by Polish media companies, taking into account local economic, social and legal conditions and challenges. In general, the Polish media have largely followed the trends observed globally, trying to adapt their policies in this respect to their resources and the specifics of the Polish media market, on both the supply and demand sides.
