Abstract
Les jeux de Supergiant Games sont reconnus pour la qualité de leur musique. Néanmoins, le travail du studio dépasse la qualité esthétique de la composition : la musique est incluse dans leurs Mondes Secondaires et mise en relation avec ses éléments constitutifs. Nous explorons comment le traitement de la musique dans les quatre jeux de Supergiant Games leur permet de réfléchir aux rôles que celle-ci joue dans le rapport au monde. À l’aide de l’approche des Mondes Secondaires de Tolkien et de la théorie de la résonance de Rosa, nous montrons que les structures de monde sont signifiantes en elles-mêmes. En positionnant la musique en tension entre sa disponibilité et son indisponibilité, le studio la met en lien avec la mémoire, le social et le spirituel, connectant ainsi les personnages ainsi que les joueur·euses au monde d’une manière signifiante et résonante.
