Abstract
Heat is the total energy of the motion of the molecules of a substance, whereas temperature refers to the measure of the average energy of the motions of the molecules in the substance. The temperature rise not only increases the internal energy of matter but also causes an expansion of solid, liquid and gases. The calorimetry (exchange of heat) defines the concepts of specific heat, latent heat, heat capacity. Finally, you will learn the transmission (conduction, convection and radiation) of heat by the help of Plank’s law and Stefan’s law of radiation, Newton’s laws of cooling etc.
