Abstract
Malgré quatre décennies d’éducation à la sexualité (EAS) au Québec, peu d’études se sont intéressées aux liens pouvant exister entre la formation initiale (FI) en EAS et d’autres facteurs, comme l’aisance, les connaissances et l’intention d’enseigner l’EAS à de futurs élèves. Ainsi, 207 personnes en fin d’études en enseignement primaire ont répondu à un questionnaire électronique au printemps 2023. Les résultats indiquent que seules trois universités offrent des cours optionnels en EAS et que l’aisance, les connaissances et l’intention d’enseigner l’EAS sont corrélées, ainsi que l’intention d’enseigner l’EAS et la quantité de FI reçue en EAS en nombre de thématiques. Une FI abordant le plus grand nombre de thématiques du programme apparaît prioritaire pour adéquatement préparer les futures personnes enseignantes.
