L’article étudie un monument circulaire en marbre blanc, découvert avant 1652 dans la crypte de l’église de Saints-Geosmes. Son décor, constitué de guirlandes et de pampres croisés suspendus à des bucranes, permet de le dater du milieu du Ier s. et d’en attribuer la fabrication à des artisans italiens. La morphologie du monument oriente vers l’identification d’une base plutôt que d’un autel.
