Análisis bibliométrico sobre los factores de riesgo de la caries de la infancia temprana

Abstract
Objetivo: Realizar un análisis bibliométrico de las publicaciones científicas sobre los factores de riesgo de la caries de la infancia temprana (CIT). Materiales y métodos: La estrategia de busqueda se desarrolló en las bases de Scopus y WoS. Fueron incluidos artículos originales, revisiones sistemáticas y/o metaanálisis relacionadas a los factores de riesgo de CIT. No existió restricción de año de publicación e idioma. Para el análisis de datos se utilizaron los softwares VOSviewer y R software junto con Bibliometrix Library. Resultados: Fueron incluidos 557 en Scopus y 360 en WOS entre 1992-2024. En la base de Scopus, Robert J Schroth fue el autor de mayor impacto, y en WoS lo fue Carlos Alberto Feldens. Además, Robert J Schroth fue el autor más relevante en ambas bases de datos. La University of Manitoba fue la universidad más relevante y Estados Unidos fue el país con mayor número de publicaciones científicas en Scopus y WoS. La revista BMC Oral Health fue la más relevante en ambas bases de datos. La publicación más citada en Scopus fue la de Selwitz et al. del 2007. En WoS, la publicación más citada fue la realizada por Tinanoff et al, en 2019. Finalmente, las palabras clave más utilizadas fueron caries dental, caries de la primera infancia y factor de riesgo. Conclusiones: En ambas bases de datos, el país con mayor producción científica fue Estados Unidos, asimismo, la University of Manitoba y la revista BMC Oral Health fueron los más relevantes. Robert J Schroth y Carlos Alberto Feldens fueron los autores de mayor impacto en Scopus y WoS, respectivamente.
