Abstract

fetched live from OpenAlex

This study develops a modular numerical model for a CO 2 thermal network (CO 2 TN) that connects local heat pumps (HPs) via a two-phase CO 2 -loop, for building heating and cooling and thermal energy recovery. Implemented in TRNSYS with newly developed TYPES, the model is designed for flexibility, allowing the study of various system configurations and integration into broader simulations with detailed building models. The model is experimentally validated at both the component and system levels using a prototype setup. For component-level validation, key components — including the CO 2 circulation compressor and heat exchangers — are compared against experimental data, demonstrating a maximum deviation of ±15% across all components. System-level validation is conducted by assembling the component models into a system resembling the experimental prototype and comparing the system coefficient of performance (COP) across different operating modes, with a maximum deviation of 16%.

Fetched live from OpenAlex and de-inverted. Abstracts are not stored in this database: the inverted indexes are 8.6 GB of the frame’s 9.3 GB of text, and the host has 13 GB free.

Not calibrated prevalence, not ground truth. Human validation pending. Learned from the 10,348 direct Codex labels and 10,348 direct Gemma labels. Candidate is the union of thresholded teacher heads; consensus is their intersection. These outputs are machine_predicted_unvalidated and are not human labels or direct frontier model labels.

Machine scores (provisional)

The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.

Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
