Abstract
Le texte retrace l'histoire de l'anthropologie francophone au Québec, de son institutionnalisation à aujourd'hui en étant attentif à ce qui fait sa spécificité. L’anthropologie historique qui a guidé l'auteure est aussi une anthropologie politique visant à penser la globalité dans laquelle s’est instituée l’anthropologie québécoise francophone à partir des années 1950. Cette dernière s’est en effet développée en concomitance avec ce qui est connu comme la « Révolution tranquille », une période importante de mutations sociales et d’ouverture au monde relative à la modernisation, à l’affirmation nationale et à la décolonisation ailleurs dans le monde. Elle fit face ensuite aux défis de la spécialisation des objets de recherche et de l'internationalisation de la recherche.
