Abstract

fetched live from OpenAlex

Event-based cameras detect significant log-luminance changes at each pixel asynchronously and report these events in real-time. A changing scene can generate many events in a short time, resulting in the need for data compression. In this paper, we propose a lossless Motion Compensated Compression algorithm based on Optical Flow (MCCOF) for event cameras. We show that the MCCOF achieves better performance on most datasets compared to the previous spike coding algorithm. Using a real-time event-based optical flow algorithm for motion compensation, the algorithm does not significantly increase the computational time for compression and decompression compared to previous algorithms.

Not calibrated prevalence, not ground truth. Human validation pending. Learned from the 10,348 direct Codex labels and 10,348 direct Gemma labels. Candidate is the union of thresholded teacher heads; consensus is their intersection. These outputs are machine_predicted_unvalidated and are not human labels or direct frontier model labels.

Machine scores (provisional)

The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.

Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
